She is getting the epidural now.

Looks like Lara is very close to active labor. A lot of pain and pressure, which is not letting up. She’s on nitrous. This came just after 5:00. Midwife Margaret and nurse Elizabeth and here. Lara my smack the midwife if she keeps giving encouragement. She went from 2.5cm to 4.5cm in about 30 minutes.
Day Nine
The last ten hours have been busy but I think we are turning a corner. Fife-Myers is moving down the birth canal and after 40 hours of Pitocin, she’s reached at least 2 cm of dilation. More on what that means later, but it indicates that the treatment is working and everyone is moving in […]
