So the most productive way to explain what Jaxon does on a routine basis is to show you. In the ‘Jaxon Versus’ series of videos, Lara and I get to share a snippet of typical Jaxon behavior. This is not to embarrass him at some later point in his life, no, we’ll save those other images for blackmail. Jaxon Versus is both fun and educational. The following video exemplifies what I’m talking about.
On a totally unrelated subject, sleep starvation topic, Lara and I are crossing our fingers. Over the last few nights, Jaxon has been sleeping for much of the night. He awakes maybe three or four times over a ten hour overnight period rather than not sleeping at all. Instead of only sleeping while being held, he now sleeps in a podster. While it’s not recommended that we allow him to sleep unsupervised, Lara and I had reached the “fu@k it” stage of sleep deprivation. The podster gets our seal of approval as it keeping him at a decent angle, reducing his the impact of his acid reflux. Rest assured, baby Jax sleeps safely and his parents monitor his sleep throughout the night. We are generally now less insane – which is great for everyone. Specifically, I no longer feel obligated to watch Dawson’s Creek.
Slowly, much slower than we ever imagined, Jaxon is becoming his best baby self. Sure, there are some minor things here and there but he is growing each day. Given how heavy he seems as we dead lift him overnight, we are betting that he is approaching 9.5 pounds. I’m pretty sure I can use him bicep curls when Lara isn’t around. We’ll know more after his next pediatrician appointment.
Again, many thanks to all of you who have stopped by, sent gifts and kept us in your thoughts.
