The scariest thing about an second baby on the way is know that you don’t really know what to expect. I mean, we think we know because we are parents of a 3-year-old but in all honestly, this is brand-new. All of it. Have we completed a refresher Lamaze class? Of course not, that’s for suckers. Have we picked a name? No, what’s the rush? While I can only type for myself, this is a little overwhelming – not enough to loose sleep over, but enough to blog about.
By the probable time of this posting, Lara will be around 10 days from a scheduled inducement. She will carry a baby full-term, which now seems hysterically improbable given Jaxon’s unexpectedly early birth. Baby Girl Fife appears to be content; in no rush to meet her parents, brother, or the rest of you. Actually, this is something of a relief as we can fully absorb our relatively quiet moment before the delivery hurricane.
I feel some unease.
Here’s a picture of Jaxon.
