8:20pm – As of this post, the D&C procedure discussed in the last post was successful. Lara is fine and is resting at home. Not that there’s much rest happening with a toddler and newborn.
The provider who performed the procedure called me this afternoon to discuss the results. She said that they removed “most” of the remaining products of conception. The prognoses is a reduction the amount of bleeding, ending within the projected six-week window where bleeding is common after delivery. It’s unclear if what remains would resolve other issues described previously. as the provider didn’t seem sure they would resolve.
